Community placements for nursing students

Kate Brown Principal lecturer, Primary care and child health, School of health and social sciences, Middlesex University, London

Kate Brown outlines the need for educational bodies to widen nursing students’ experience of the primary care setting

This article explores the challenges involved in providing practice learning opportunities for pre-registration nursing students in community settings, especially in home care.
