<p>A team approach to service redesign can improve the care of patients diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus who require palliation of dysphagia by the insertion of an oesophageal stent. This article describes the team approach used and also considers aspects of team working and the impact a diagnosis of cancer can have on an individual.</p>
