Acquiring percussion and auscultation skills through experiential learning
<p>Radical reforms are being implemented in A&E to manage ever growing pressures and ever longer waiting times. To improve the standard and speed of care in this acute care setting, the Department of Health (2001) launched the Reforming Emergency Care strategy, which recognises the need to address demarcation of working practice as vital. This is reflected in the use of emergency nurse practitioners (ENPs) to treat an ever increasing range of patients attending with minor injuries.</p>
