<p>Contrary to popular belief, in most situations the treatment of poisoning does not involve the administration of an antidote and supportive care is the most important aspect of managing a poisoned patient. However, there are a minority of cases where the use of an antidote may be crucial and the use of these drugs will be discussed here.</p>
