Children abused through prostitution
<p>Children abused through prostitution is a poorly understood and under researched area of child protection (Linehan 1997, Barrett and Beckett 1996). This article aims to highlights the problem that exists in the UK. It examines the predominant routes into prostitution and considers how emergency nurses can effectively work as part of an interagency team to recognise and care for these children. Recommendations for practice are made.</p>
