<p>The first paper in this two-part series on the faculty of emergency nursing (FEN) pilot project was published in last month’s Emergency Nurse (Rowe and Crouch 2003). It outlined the background to FEN development, the scope of the pilot and the methodologies employed. This second paper identifies the success and blocking factors in the pilot and the lessons learned.</p>
