<p>With the elderly population increasing rapidly, and people living well into their 70’s and 80’s (1), it is not surprising that the number of elderly people attending AE departments has also increased. Elderly attenders have their own specific needs and requirements, and many attend with illness and injuries specific to their age group.</p>
