Enjoy exploring our redesigned website

Along with the new look printed version of Emergency Nurse, the online version has change too
Sophie Blakemore

Welcome to your new-look Emergency Nurse website – we hope you like what you see. It has been redesigned to create a fresher, more modern and user-friendly feel, based on what our reader research told us you wanted.

All your favourite sections are still here – peer-reviewed articles, news, analysis, opinion and reviews, and careers – while some have been renamed or merged, and others added.

New elements

Our clinical section comprising CPDs, research and all peer-reviewed articles, previously known as art & science, is now called evidence & practice, and resources has been incorporated into news, which is where you will now find diary and events listings and journal scan.

We have also added a clinical and policy udpate section in news to keep you up to date with new government policies, practice updates and guidelines.

From now on all our articles will appear online first, but you will still be able to find them in our monthly print editions too.

Easier access

The site has been designed to offer you a more intuitive and up-to-the-minute experience, with easier access to our entire archive of articles, rolling news, and interactive and audio visual content such as podcasts, interviews with authors, case studies, infographics and live discussions on our Hub.

We would love to hear your views on the new format, so please email me at sophie.blakemore@rcni.com or add a comment below.

In the meantime, enjoy reading some of our latest clinical articles on recognising and treating Zika virus (here), training to reduce intravenous medication errors (here), and a CPD on managing head injuries in children (here).

The site will be updated regularly and our next print issue will be out in September.

Happy surfing!
