With a host of high profile tv hosting roles under her belt, Julia has presented shows such as BBC1’s Watchdog, Wish you Were Here..?, and her very own ‘Best Walks’ Series. Julia’s reputation as the face of the outdoors began when she fronted Wainwright Walks, a stunning BBC Four series shot in the Lake District. The programme saw Julia re-tread the footsteps of legendary fell-walker Alfred Wainwright.

In Climb Britain for BBC1, Julia faced her fears and managed to successfully climb to the top of The Old Man of Stoer – a 60 meter high sea stack that surges from the sea alongside the cliffs in Lochinver, Sutherland. Julia had never rock climbed before and regards this as one of her most frightening challenges.

Additional TV ventures include BBC Three’s Kill It, Cook It, Eat It, already in its fourth series - exploring how our meat makes its way from field to fork; from rearing to the often stomach churning slaughter.

Away from television presenting, Julia is ambassador and patron to a number of charities, including the National Trust, and the Scouts. She is author of a number of books which sit alongside her Best Walks series, which give readers the opportunity to benefit from Julia’s knowledge of the UK’s best loved walks.
