Nursing education grants: apply now for financial assistance

RCN Foundation has education and career development grants for nurses, nursing associates, students and support workers – and you don’t have to be a college member to apply
Are you a nurse, nursing student or support worker hoping to gain qualifications and develop your career?
The RCN Foundation has announced its autumn round of education and career development grants of up to £2,500 for undergraduate study, postgraduate qualifications and professional training.
Applicants do not have to be RCN members to receive the education grants, which are open to nurses, students, nursing associates, healthcare support workers and midwives who will begin study between 1 January 2024 and 1 January 2025.

Education grant recipient Fartun Ali said: ‘Thanks to the support from the RCN Foundation, I have been able to build my knowledge base and develop as a person. I now feel more confident in making decisions. When I see a patient progress in their recovery journey, that’s the best part of my job.’

Other RCN Foundation support includes its professional bursary of up to £1,600 per successful applicant.
Support to boost your nursing career and improve patient care
RCN Foundation director Deepa Korea said: ‘These grants enable staff not only to develop their careers, but to improve the care they give to patients. Last year alone, we supported the professional development and training of 255 individuals through education grants that totalled £348,000.
‘Whether you are a nurse, midwife, nursing associate, healthcare support worker, or student, I strongly encourage you to take the time to see what we have available and apply.’
