Nursing Live 2024

23 - 24 October 2024, ACC Liverpool

Register for updates about this unique nursing event and make a note in your diary to join us later in the year.

Held on 10 and 11 November at the ACC in Liverpool, the first-of-its-kind event run by RCNi features more than 100 expert talks, clinical demonstrations, free yoga sessions and it will be packed with masterclasses for nurses at every stage in their career.

Alongside this is an exciting list of exhibitors – NHS trusts, universities and medical and healthcare organisations will be on-hand to discuss career opportunities, professional development, latest technology and working with charities.

Ever wondered what it is like nursing on a cruise ship or in the army? Global cruise business Carnival UK will be there to answer your questions, as will the British Army.

Or perhaps you want to know about career opportunities closer to home? Several NHS organisations will be in attendance to promote careers, including Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Workshops and career advice on returning to practice

Headline sponsor AstraZeneca will hold a series of workshops focused on cardiovascular, renal and metabolic conditions as well as chronic respiratory and immune-mediated diseases.

For those who are looking for a way back into nursing, representatives from the NHS Return to Practice programme will be there to promote supportive pathways back into healthcare.

RCNi managing director Rachel Armitage said: ‘Nursing staff who attend will be able to discover everything from the latest healthcare apps to dynamic career opportunities through our different exhibition zones, while our sponsor-led sessions will explore key topics such as personal well-being and new clinical interventions.’

Alongside career and professional development, the popular Blue Light Card will be there to share the latest discounts available to nurses and other healthcare staff. Card members can enjoy shopping discounts, cheaper movie tickets and discounts in restaurants among many other benefits.

A chance to sing with colleagues

If you’re looking for comfortable shoes to help with aching feet after a long shift, look no further than the Alexandra, Birkenstock and Meltemi stands for all the latest footwear.

Elsewhere you can try your hand at singing with the Nursing Live choir sponsored by partner university Liverpool John Moores. Those taking part will be coached by the award-winning Funky Voices choir to perform live at the event.

The winners of the RCN Nursing Awards 2023 will also be announced at a ceremony at Liverpool Cathedral on 10 November, to coincide with Nursing Live
