Nurse used funds from patient activity budget to pay for staff party
Mental health nurse Marcia Harding, who was trying to raise staff morale at Priory Hospital Avesbury House in London, is not ‘inherently dishonest’ but must serve two-month suspension, says Nursing and Midwifery Council fitness to practise panel. The panel found there was minimal risk she would repeat her actions, having shown remorse and taken remedial steps such as reflective practice and training in ethics and financial management.
