Nursing Live 2024

23 - 24 October 2024, ACC Liverpool

Register for updates about this unique nursing event and make a note in your diary to join us later in the year.

This is not (just!) a shameless plug for our fantastic two-day programme of inspirational talks, well-being sessions and CPD-accredited learning opportunities taking place in Liverpool on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 November. I’m putting it on your radar because we’ve created it to offer – dare I say it – a burst of optimism and a chance to celebrate nursing as the highly skilled and person-centred profession it is.

No one will be glossing over the many challenges facing nursing but we’ll be focusing on holistic support and solutions – and providing the opportunity to have fun and network with friends and colleagues too. The climax of celebrations will be the announcement of winners of the RCN Nursing Awards 2023. This year, in face of all the challenges facing the profession, we’ve had a record number of entries showcasing innovation across fields and multidisciplinary teams.

So here’s a few reasons why we think you’ll love Nursing Live:

  • CPD Continued learning is essential but sometimes totting up the 35 hours of CPD, for revalidation, including 20 hours of participatory learning, can be a personal and, even financial, strain. Nursing Live offers you plenty of CPD hours.
  • Well-being Your health and happiness are at the heart of the programme because too often they are ignored or paid lip-service to with simplistic advice on learning ‘resilience’. Expert guidance on getting a better night’s sleep, and a nurse’s account of recognising and addressing the signs of burnout and learning capacitar body-based techniques are among the highlights.
  • Be inspired From the expert clinical to the visionary and personal talks, Nursing Live has something for every aspect of a nurse’s or a nursing student’s life. Our advisory panel of nurses and others have produced a programme for all nurses, at all career or education stages.
  • Fun Lend your voice to the Nursing Live choir organised by Funky Voices, enjoy the Andrew Collinge hairdressing demonstration and competition, and meet exhibitors who’ll be offering trials and giveaways designed to boost your health and well-being.

I hope to see you there!
