THERE IS a long tradition of evidence-based practice in public health and practitioners are increasingly involved directly with finding evidence. It is therefore essential then that practitioners have a sound grasp of research methods, especially given that the interplay between human behaviours and health is firmly established at the centre of modern public health policy and practice.
